engraving
Also known as “Intaglio Printing” is the process by which we mount a pre-etched plate into one of our vintage stamping presses and apply literally, several tons of pressure. Before the plate is squeezed against the printing substrate, it is inked and wiped, removing any unwanted imagery.
The engraving process is commonly used to announce important events and where a touch of regality and luxury are required. U.S. currency is engraved because it is the most difficult to counterfeit. When our clients want the very best, we look towards engraving and our unique ability to mix this heritage-rich process with other more modern techniques.
