nicholas felton 2010 annual report (lots of ink and old fashioned binding techniques)
The designer and author, Nicholas Felton chose to work with DataGraphic to produce this sixth in a series report, poster and label set. The cover of the report is foil stamped using satin gold foil with fine detail plate over double-hit of the red offset lithography on Mohawks Superfine stocks. The paper stock was chosen because of its ability to absorb a large volume of ink and overall print performance. The inside front cover was flood-coated in metallic gold, giving the piece a touch of luxury, while maintaining its trendy color palette. Text pages were also printed on the same Superfine paper stocks and bound using unconventional saddle-sewn binding technique. Coordinating red thread was selected as the binding medium and as an accent feature. We also produced a two-sided companion poster and shipping label, using all the same print elements.
