TROXES are triangular, interlocking, origami building blocks. One shape, infinite possibilities.
DATAGRAPHIC was asked to produce 150,000 of these unique origami building blocks known as TROXES for creator, Jonathan Bobrow, who successfully Kickstarted his invention in May of 2017. The triangular, interlocking building bricks, which begin as a flat, die cut shape, were designed at the MIT Media Lab as a medium for geometric play. We were tasked with die cutting the shapes out of colored 122# Plike cover stock, which was UV printed with a clear gloss on one side. As with Legos, there are infinite possibilities once you start combining pieces.
